When God Has Called You to Much
Have you ever felt like God has placed so much on your heart?
So many ideas.
So many dreams.
So many visions.
You know there are things God has called you to build, create, write, lead, or steward—but sometimes you find yourself asking: How am I supposed to do all of this?
You have multiple visions, but you're only one person. Maybe you even feel alone because other people don't quite understand what you see. You know what God has placed on your heart, but you don't know how to hold it all together.
What if the answer isn't doing more?
What if it's learning to steward what God has given you well?
You Don't Have to Do Everything at Once
Think about a garden. A gardener doesn't plant every seed on the same day and expect everything to bloom at once. There are different seasons.
Some things are being planted. Some are taking root. Some are growing. Some are blooming. Some are being harvested.
Your dreams can be the same way.
Just because God has given you multiple dreams doesn't mean He is asking you to work on all of them today.
You are allowed to write them down.
You are allowed to pray over them.
You are allowed to let some seeds wait.
Waiting doesn't mean you've forgotten the dream. It may mean you're trusting God with its timing.
Get the Vision Out of Your Head
Sometimes the greatest source of overwhelm isn't everything you have to do, it's everything you're trying to remember.
The idea you had while driving.
The vision that came during prayer.
The project you want to create someday.
The book you want to write.
Instead of carrying all of it in your mind, create a place to capture it. Write it down. Give the dream somewhere to live.
Then you can return to it when the season is right.
You Are Only One Person
You don't have to prove your calling by exhausting yourself. You don't have to accomplish everything immediately. You don't have to say yes to every opportunity. And you don't have to carry tomorrow's assignment today.
Your job isn't to make every garden bloom at once.
Your job is to faithfully tend the garden God has placed in front of you today.
One seed.
One season.
One step at a time.
And you can trust God with the rest.
You don't have to hold it all together. You can learn to steward it well.
