Know the Playbook
One of the keys to winning on the basketball court was knowing the plays inside and out. No matter the defense or full-court press, we had to know how to get into our plays and run them effectively.
It's the same in our marriage.
If we are going to find victory, we must know the biblical plays that God has called us to run.
Psalm 119:11 says, "I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
God's Word is our playbook.
If we are going to run His plays well, we must become well acquainted with them. We can't wait until we're in the middle of conflict to figure out what God says about forgiveness, humility, patience, or love. Just as athletes spend hours practicing before game day, we must spend time in God's Word before life's pressures come.

Will you take the time to write these God-plays down?
To memorize them?
To hide them in your heart so that when the pressure comes, you won't have to search for the right response, you'll already know the play.
Victory doesn't happen by accident.
It comes from faithfully learning, practicing, and living out God's Word until His plays become second nature.
